Dear Friends,

 

The Democratic Party of Arkansas state committee meeting is almost here. It’s time to pack a bag for Saturday, October 29 and head to Conway to join Arkansas Democrats from around the state to learn more about messaging for 2012, goals from the Executive Committee Retreat, and engaging young voters in county committees and auxiliaries. This meeting will educate, inform and motivate everyone as 2012 nears.

 

The meeting will take place at the Agora Conference and Special Events Center, Inc. located at 705 E. Siebenmorgan Road in Conway. The Agora website includes directions that you can access here. Parking is readily available close to the center.

 

Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a light breakfast to be provided. The Association of County Officers will have its meeting at 8:00 a.m. under the leadership of Jean Wallace. The Executive Committee meeting begins at 9:15 a.m. The State Committee meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. with caucuses and auxiliaries to meet afterwards.   • Arkansas Federation of Democratic Women
  • Arkansas Young Democrats
  • Hispanic Caucus
  • Labor Caucus
  • Veterans Caucus

 

Room blocks will be available at the hotels listed below, but UCA’s Homecoming is the same weekend as the state committee meeting so please make your reservation as quickly as possible. Our block is only available until the 25th of October.

On Friday, the Democratic Women of Faulkner County will host their “Paint the County Blue” Fundraiser from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Join fellow Democrats at Michelangelo’s Restaurant located at 1117 Oak Street in Conway to support fellow Democrats.
