DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR SENATE DISTRICT 16
Teresa Gallegos put roots down in Russellville, Arkansas with her husband in 2015. Growing up in rural Virginia, she was raised in a minimum wage, a single-parent household that relied on Medicaid, free school lunches, and SNAP benefits to make ends meet. Teresa earned an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration from Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke, Virginia. She continued her education at Virginia Tech, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the Pamplin College of Business. Every day, Teresa strives to live by the Virginia Tech motto: Ut Prosim (that I may serve). Passionate about healthy, local food and ending childhood hunger, Teresa serves as a Board Member for Russellville Community Market and volunteer at River Valley Food 4 Kids. You will often see her out registering voters and organizing local events as Vice Chair of the Democratic Party of Pope County.
As human beings on Earth, as Americans, as Arkansans, as residents of Arkansas State Senate District 16, we all do better when WE ALL DO BETTER.
Our political system is broken. Too many of our representatives serve to protect special interests, not people and our environment.
Enough is enough. I plan to run for Arkansas State Senate District 16 to listen to ALL constituents, care about their concerns, identify what’s right and what’s wrong, and be an advocate for our community and environment.
